Sheila Iacono serves as the Vice President of Nursing Operations for AOM Infusion. In her role, Sheila oversees the quality, safety and efficiency of the clinical nursing team. She is instrumental in ensuring the nursing team has the training, tools and resources they need to provide an exceptional patient experience that improves health and enhances quality of life.
With 30 years of nursing experience, Sheila’s expertise spans hospital nursing, research, operations and sales. Her leadership roles in infectious disease units, home infusion and ambulatory infusion environments have equipped her with a nuanced understanding of the health care landscape. Known for her proven history of increasing efficiencies and rolling out new programs, Sheila is a strategic leader in the nursing field.
Sheila holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Connecticut. She is certified as a Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) and Immunoglobulin Certified Nurse (IgCN). She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing, and serves as an adjunct professor at Fairfield University’s Eagan School of Nursing. Outside of work, Sheila enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and being outdoors—whether on a beach or a mountain. She also loves attending all types of sporting events.
