As your partner in care, AOM is here to support you every step of the way. If you have questions or need help understanding your options, please contact your AOM Care Team.

Financial Assistance Resources for IVIG & SCIG Patients

We are a participating provider with most major insurance carriers and have active contracts with a variety of commercial payors. Our teams are very familiar with navigating insurance coverage and will work to get you the health care you need. However, there are times when additional financial support, outside of insurance coverage, is needed to support your treatment journey.

In these cases, there are a variety of organizations that provide assistance to eligible patients in need of Ig therapy. Depending on your insurance coverage, diagnosis, and financial situation, you may qualify for programs that help reduce out-of-pocket costs associated with IVIG or SCIG treatment.

Financial assistance programs vary in how they provide support. Understanding the different types of assistance available can help you identify resources that may fit best for your journey.

Copay Assistance Programs

For patients with commercial insurance, copay assistance programs may help reduce out-of-pocket costs associated with IVIG therapy. These programs are often sponsored by manufacturers and may help cover expenses such as copays, coinsurance, or deductibles for eligible patients.

Our dedicated insurance specialists and reimbursement teams are available to help you understand your coverage, identify financial assistance programs that may be available to support treatment, and obtain the necessary authorizations.

Foundation Grants and Patient Assistance Funds

In addition to copay assistance programs, nonprofit organizations may offer grants or disease-specific funds that help eligible patients manage treatment-related expenses.

  • What is a patient assistance fund?
    • A patient assistance fund is a pool of charitable funding established to support individuals with specific diagnoses or healthcare needs. Depending on the organization, support may be available for copays, coinsurance, deductibles, premiums, and other treatment-related expenses.
  • What is a foundation grant?
    • Foundation grants provide financial assistance to eligible patients and families to help offset healthcare-related costs. Grant programs may help cover treatment expenses, travel, lodging, medical equipment, and other costs associated with receiving care.

Here are details on a few organizations that provide financial assistance for IVIG patients through grants and funds.
